Virtual WG2 meeting

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the travel restrictions in effect in various countries, WG 2 could not hold its face-to-face meeting and training school in Malaga, Spain, as had been originally planned. However, determined to progress in its tasks and reach its goals, WG2 held a 2-day online meeting and training school via Zoom, on September 10-11, 2020.

Most WG2 members were able to attend this rich and productive meeting on "General and disorder-specific mechanisms of change in the treatment of adolescents".

The group worked both collectively and in smaller groups towards its current goal of extracting data from studies that will help determine mediators of outcome in the psychotherapy of adolescents.

WG2 members also focused and advanced their work in specialized areas, and worked towards identifying mediators of outcome in the psychotherapy of youth who (1) suffer from externalizing disorders, who (2) have undergone trauma, and who (3) show symptoms of borderline personality disorder. Group members worked collectively to decide on a method for data extraction and risk of bias assessment and establish reliability in this process.

Members of WG2 gravely missed being able to reconnect face-to-face and hope to have the opportunity to get together again soon.
