Current position and affiliation: Associate Lecturer at the American College of Greece and Scientific Collaborator at Eginition Hospital, First Department of Psychiatry, Athens University Medical School.
Involvement with youth mental health and research interests and activities:
My research interests lie in adapting, testing, and disseminating interventions for common mental disorders (mainly depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders) among at risk, underserved populations from culturally and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. I am particularly interested in women’s reproductive health issues, parent-child attachment, and child adjustment. My research activity has focused on developing feasible and effective psychological interventions for maternal mood and anxiety disorders and investigating their impact on maternal well-being and child development. In recent years, I have also developed a research interest in developing feasible and effective psychological interventions for adolescents and emerging adults with mood disorders.
