Rosemarie graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Malta in 2013. She started working as a basic specialist trainee in psychiatry in July 2016, became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2019 and completed her psychiatry postgraduate training in October 2020. She has been working in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry since January 2017 and has been working as a resident specialist in the field since October 2020.
Throughout her career, Rosemarie has shown commitment to improve clinical standards. She has been trained in a number of psychotherapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy and School Age Basic Parenting Training. Moreover, Rosemarie has worked hard to raise the standards of academia in Malta. In fact she has worked on a number of research studies and is presently conducting a prevalence study on mental disorders among young people in Malta.
Rosemarie is the International Liaison Officer for the Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health- Malta Branch, the secretary general for Lejn Xefaq Gdid and is a member of the Maltese Association of Psychiatry.
