Current position and affiliation: Lecturer and Program Coordinator, MSc Program in Clinical Psychology, Department of Social Sciences, University of Nicosia
Involvement with youth mental health and research interests and activities:
My academic work involves teaching courses in child psychopathology, child therapy and assessment and clinical skills for children, as well as courses on psychodynamic theory and interventions, and psychometric assessment for children and adults. I also supervise clinical psychology trainees in their work with children, adolescents and adults. In my private practice as a clinical psychologist I conduct individual psychotherapy with adults and adolescents and play therapy with children in conjunction with parent guidance work. I am interested in the intergenerational transmission of attachment and trauma from a psychodynamic perspective, as well as the ways in which symptoms in children may reflect greater systemic dynamics within the family.
