Involvement with youth mental health and research interests and activities:
My main research areas are personality development, attachment, traumatic experiences and psychological difficulties in childhood and adolescence, psychosocial functioning in adolescents with dyslexia, psychological assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders. I am the leader of Research Group in Developmental Psychopathology at Vilnius University. Recent research projects I have initiated and executed include investigation of mentalization in young adolescents, analysis of mentalizing profile in adolescents with delinquent behavior as well studying early borderline personality features in adolescence. In addition to academic and research activities, I am child and adolescent psychotherapist working in a private practice, teacher and supervisor at the program on Psychodynamic Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy provided by Vilnius University.
